The Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) at Universal Hospital & Research Center is dedicated
to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for women students, staff, interns, and faculty.
Our goal is to empower women by ensuring equal opportunities, nurturing leadership qualities,
and promoting a culture of dignity and respect across all institutional levels.
The Cell actively works to sensitize the community on gender equality, women's rights, personal safety,
and professional growth through awareness programs, workshops, counselling sessions, and grievance redressal support.
Objectives of the Women Empowerment Cell
- To ensure a safe and respectful campus environment for all women
- To promote gender equality and women’s rights
- To prevent discrimination, harassment, or any form of injustice
- To provide support, counselling, and grievance redressal
- To build confidence, leadership, and career readiness among women students
- To organize seminars, workshops, and awareness programs on women safety and empowerment
Key Functions of the Cell
- Conducting gender sensitization programs
- Organizing training on self-defense and personal safety
- Running awareness drives on women's health and hygiene
- Providing confidential support for grievances
- Promoting women leadership and participation in various committees
- Ensuring safety measures in campus, hostels, and hospital areas
